Enormous Champion
Check out these cards by Brooklyn based Enormous Champion. I LOVE them! I think this is a really original way of using script the combination with a kind of 70′s texture embossy look just works wonders and I haven’t seen anything look like this before. WANT! See more: http://enormouschampion.com

Ray Fenwick
I’ve noticed Canadian Ray Fenwick’s work many times in magazines during travels in the States and he always manage to put a smile on my face. He’s done job for loads of cool mags like GOOD, New York Times and Real Simple and his work is always spot on, integrating illustration with a bit of [...]

Lennard Schuurmans
Lennard Schuurmans is a Dutch illustrator that I’ve only recently come across. Looking through his website is a treat because he does lots of different stuff, simple shapes and colours but also really detailed cartoony drawings. A super skilled guy! See more: http://www.lennardschuurmans.com

Yayoi Kusama
This installation put such a huge smile on my face. Japanese cult artist Yayoi Kusama did this piece called The Obliteration Room. It is a completely white room to begin with and them kids visiting the museum are handed coloured stickers to put on the piece. It then evolves into a colour explotion. Wonderful! Photos [...]

Felix Scheinberger
Here’s a little more watercolour stuff. I found Felix when I saw the book that he did on watercolours, wrote and illustrated. I’m a complete idiot with this stuff myself but I must say that looking at this book makes me wanna give it another try. See more: http://felixscheinberger.de

Bleed
I’ve shared stuff from Norwegian studio Bleed before but they just rock so much that you need to go look again, seriously! Their website is also a treat. They caught my eye yet again with these illustrations that they did as a part of the “new” (not so new anymore) My Space identity which I [...]

Daniel Egnéus
I noticed Swedish illustrator Daniel Egnéus when I saw his beautiful illustrations for Little Red Ridinghood. When I went to see more on his website I was so pleasantly surprised because he’s done even greater stuff and the website is just such a feast of goodness. It’s mostly water colours but in various different textures. [...]

Craig & Karl
It isn’t that often that you see clean vector art used in an original way, but by golly I think we have a live one! These portraits by by Craig & Karl kicks ass. The way they’ve used the patterns is so simple, yet really effective. TOTALLY love it! Would DIE to have a self [...]

Zink
I’ve recently come across Zink Magazine. I don’t like the overall design, but they are really good at using über cool photographers and I’ve really been enjoying discovering lots of great talent in that area like Genevieve Charbonneau, Justin Hyte and Neil Mota. Like!

Mike McQuade
I am totally neglecting you guys at the mo, the reason is that I am preparing my very first exhibition and it’s pretty nervewrecking so head is filled. Will show you when it’s done! But for now I want to share this wonderful identity project by Mike McQuade with you. I LOVE the name, Tom, [...]

Si Scott
This week I’ve been whipping my poor students through some serious ornament drawing to improve their Illustrator curve skills, it is such a good exercise and it really creates respect for people who do this impeccably. Like Marian Bantjes, Jessica Hische, Sebastian Lester and Si Scott. I am loving these sourcy chicks that he did [...]

TUSH
I spent my New Year’s eve in Germany and it gave my a good opportunity to get my hands on one of my fave mags, German Tush. I’ve showed you this mag before but it’s just so good that I want to share a bit more with you. It’s the photography, the typography, the in [...]

Supply
I’ve had these two wonderful projects i folders on my desktop for a while and only just realised that they were done by the same studio, New Zealand based Supply. I think it’s really interesting to see two such different solutions for the “same” product from the same studio, that definitely shows visual versatility. Is [...]

Frieke Janssens
I came across the series “Smoking Kids” by Belgian photographer Frieke Janssens and really loved it. It reminds me a little of Jill Greenberg’s crying kids (she snatches candy from them to make them cry!) but it’s just taken even further. I just love the shock effect of these images, sure to get some people [...]

BRGN for Familjen
I came across the cover for Swedish band Familjen on iTunes and wanted to have a closer look. I think it’s really good, the colours are so fresh and the different compositions so lively. It’s done by Swedish studio Bergen and I really wanna see more of their stuff. Come on Hanne! Update your website! [...]

Borgmann
So, everyone’s getting ready for tomorrow and the welcoming of 2012? I bet you’ve all been preparing; finding the perfect dress, buying good food and booze but please remember to drink responsibly around the fireworks…but also remember to drink stuff in pretty bottles! Like these…and I don’t actually know what they are but I’d have [...]

Sister Corita Kent
OK it’s been a little quiet here at the lab. Not that I’m not inspired, it’s just that I’ve been celebrating Christmas and no time to post ahead :-) But we need a little colour right? So I’m gonna give you Sister Corita Kent. The story of this women is yet another astonishing one, cause [...]

Rana Begum
I’m gonna go for one more colourful post today as it is STILL grey and rainy here. Check out UK based artist Rana Begum. Her pieces are so simple but absolutely briliant. She toys with angles, the 3 dimensional space, light and colour in her installations in a way that is so effectful. Just love [...]

Eduardo Recife
It’s been a long time since I’ve seen collages this vibrant and colourful. Just what I needed on a gloomy tuesday December morning in Copenhagen. I’m sure looking at these will be some sort of colour therapy. Already working! See more: http://www.eduardorecife.com/
