            <title>Veena Malik: I would never compare my work with Ali Zafar</title>
            <link>http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/Newspakistanpk/~3/gy9cDjIOkTA/</link>
            <description>The controversial queen of Pakistan, Veena Malik, doesn?t need any introduction in India since she has always been in the news for wrong reasons. However, the other Pakistani starlet Ali Zafar, who is a singer-songwriter, musician, composer, actor, model, has much respect as an artist yet Veena thinks he far ahead of him, in terms of their work.
Veena recently gave an exclusive interview to a UK Bollywood reporter Sunny Malik, in which she said Zafar is just films for himself and he is only limited to India whereas she has done much more work than him so there is no comparisons between her and Ali Zafar, who was last seen in ?London, Paris, New York?.
She said, &amp;#8220;I don?t know about the work that Ali Zafar is doing as he is just doing films in India. If you ask me, I would never compare my work with Ali Zafar. He is only doing films for himself and nothing else.&amp;#8221;
She went on to say: &amp;#8220;The first thing I did in India was sponsor a girl child and at the same time, I have been part in so many other various activities in India like PETA. I am also appearing on various talk shows as I believe that love and harmony should be there between these two countries. They should move on about the things that happened in the past.&amp;#8221;
Veena, who rose to fame during her stint in the ?Bigg Boss 5? house, in the meantime insisted that she doesn?t have any friends in the Bollywood industry.
&amp;#8220;I have a working relationship with so many people. We have a good understanding but when it comes to personal friendship, I do not have any friends in India. I have many friends because of my work. When my work is over, the friendship is over. (laughs),&amp;#8221; says Veena.
Veena Malik is currently participating in the films like ?Zindagi 50-50?, ?All U Need&amp;#8230; LOVE? and ?Mr. Money?. The actress is also working on ?Supermodel?, in which she will play a role opposite to her ex-flame Ashmit Patel.

            <title>Gravity-Defying Land Art by Cornelia Konrads</title>
            <link>http://laurajul.dk/2012/05/06/gravity-defying-land-art-by-cornelia-konrads/</link>
            <description>

German artist Cornelia Konrads creates mind-bending site-specific installations in public spaces, sculpture parks and private gardens around the world. Her work is frequently punctuated by the illusion of weightlessness, where stacked objects like logs, fences, and doorways appear to be suspended in mid-air, reinforcing their temporary nature as if the installation is beginning to dissolve before your very eyes.

Sometimes photographs can make things you see every day look new and interesting. That?s how I felt when I came across Anne-Kathrin Pries&amp;#8216; pictures where she paints with light in Sønderborg.

I asked Anne-Kathrin a couple of questions about these photos:
How did you get the idea for these light photos?
I get inspired by other photographers. I saw some night pictures where they used a torch to paint/lighten up the foreground, and I tried that and was hooked. On Flickr.com I found other people from around the world who take lightpainting pictures.
The light photos you take have a very magical feel to them. How do you create them?
I take these pictures in a completely dark environment, preferably where there are no city lights.
I take a longetime exposure (keeping the camera lense open for a long time) which can take up to 10 minutes if it is dark enough and I walk into the picture with a light source while my camera stands on the tripod and captures the movement of my light.
First I started to paint with common torches but you can use everything that lights up. I found some toys like a Star Wars sword, which is very useful. I got some good results with steel wool too. It burns very brightly and can illuminate a big area.
Do you get these photos in one take or do you spend whole nights running around with saber swords and sparklers?
The most exciting part is that you never know how the picture will look like in the end. It depends on how much light is around or if it&amp;#8217;s full moon, then you won&amp;#8217;t have so much time for painting and when it is really dark you can often sit for hours and wait until the camera has collected enough light. The hardest part is to focus when it is dark, you can&amp;#8217;t really do it &amp;#8230; sometimes I spend hours and afterwards I find out that my picture isn&amp;#8217;t sharp :-/. Another thing is you can&amp;#8217;t really see what you paint or where in the photo you place your light&amp;#8230; but after some time you get a feeling for it.
Which is your favourite photo and why?
It is this one. I used a bicycle light for that and this was my second try in painting people. It is really difficult cause you need to turn off the light, after drawing one arm, to go back and draw the head, and so on. It can easily turn into a big squiggle. For this couple I just needed only one try and it was perfect &amp;#8230; I didn&amp;#8217;t think I would get this.
One last thing, what?s you favorite place in Sonderborg and why?
My favorite place is this one. I love the water and the beach, I take most of my pictures there:-)

Stains of paint

Se flere billeder her.

            <description>Photo fra rundvisning på Godsbanen

The Work of the Curator in the Age of Network systems fra 2006.

20.30 ? 21:

            <title>The 3 Best Tattoo Artists You Didn?t Know</title>
            <link>http://thisisbandit.com/2012/04/the-3-best-tattoo-artists-you-didnt-know/</link>
            <description>
Everyone has tattoos these days and people don?t consider originality and quality, but only the individuality they believe comes with the ?custom? tattoo.
Everyone who?s just a little bit interested in tattoos knows the artists from the Miami Ink and LA Ink TV-shows, and a lot of people also know who Mr. Cartoon is. He has for a long time been the go-to tattoo artist for the Urban music genre leaders and athletes. But Mr. Cartoon is just the front figure for probably the best tattoo artists in the world, residing in Los Angeles.
- Tattoo Tony L.A

Has skill level similar to Mr. Cartoon with the needle but is more versatile style-wise. He has tattooed in many different shops with some of the best and is a part of the inner circle of L.A Chicano style tattoos but now he just does his own thing. He does painting and even illustration.
- NORM

Owns and runs Will Rise Tattoo in L.A trained in traditional tattooing and applying his considerable graffiti skills to the tattoo craft. Even though he has only been tattoing professionally for 6 years he is a script savant, and a part of World known graffiti crew MSK, clothing brand THE 7thLETTER and is a part owner of KNOWN gallery that is right next to his tattoo shop. NORM also fabricates and sells tattoo machines of a high quality.

- José Lopez

Owns Lowrider Tattoo, 3 shops in the L.A area the shops have combined won an amazing 150 tattoo awards. Many in the tattoo game call José Lopez the king of black and grey tattoos, and I can only agree with that. He has also trained the best upcoming in the category, and says he?ll leave the color tattooing up to his friends that are better than him at that. José Lopez starting drawing after an accident that left him wheelchair bound when he was only 15 years old. He has been tattooing for almost 20 years and hasn?t even turned 40 yet.

There are so many great tattoo artists out there but these are the ones I really like, I?ve met some and hope to meet more. Even though we have a plethora of great artists in Europe, I say: fuck your local tattoo artist, try a new one!
