Although target killings and street-battles are almost a routine matter in the provincial metropolis, rarely a political-rally has been targeted the way it happened on Tuesday. Ultimately the consequences of such indiscriminate firing in the rally were devastating. All hell broke loose within minutes after unknown armed men opened fire on a rally took out by Awami Tehreek against the so-called movement for the division of Sindh. Up till now, at least fifteen people have been lost their lives while over 30 sustained severe injuries. Many of the victims were innocent passers-by and bystanders, including a woman from PIA?s ground staff and a 12-year-old girl. The anti- Mohajir province rally was attacked by snipers hidden in buildings in the surrounding streets. The firing unleashed panic that afterward left 15 people dead over of the rest of the day. A Sindh-based nationalist party, the Awami Tehreek (AT), took out the rally with support of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Awami National Party (ANP). Ayaz Latif Palijo, the president of the party, along with Lyari?s Uzair Jan Baloch and Zafar Baloch led the rally. The protestors chanted slogans saying, ?We?ll die but we won?t let Sindh be divided?. With a few thousand men, women and children, the rally titled Mohabbat-e-Sindh started out as a peaceful one and its destination was the Karachi Press Club (KPC). However, it came under attack at Napier Road, just a half hour after they headed out toward their destination. As usual, Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah issued orders for a judicial inquiry into the incident.  A serving judge of the Sindh High Court (SHC) will probe the attack; the spokesperson of the Chief Minister informed the media. The ill-fated rally, which was a re-telecast show of May 12, was organized in reaction to the increasing appearance of graffiti calling for a separate Mohajir province to be carved out of Sindh. Sindhi nationalists had already reacted badly a day before and the government had issued orders for the inflammatory wall chalking to be removed. En god tradition er kræmmermiddagen. Den første aften på kræmmermarkedet svinger Lions halen og laver middag for kræmmerne. Der grines og udvæksles gode historier rundt bordene og det hele rammes ind med god, traditionel live undeholdning. Konrad, Casper, Kasper, Jesper og jeg havde en fantastisk aften! Jeg elsker at være omringet af mine bedste. Det var fedt at have Jesper med på holdet også. Det er ikke hver dag vi ses, så det var godt at se ham feste med os andre! Der var dog noget som overraskede mig ret voldsomt i går. Ikke negativt, men virkelig bare overraskede mig. Da jeg i starten af aftenen gik en runde for at se lidt på alle de herlige festglade mennesker, fik jeg et et chok over alle jer som kunne genkende mig. På bare dèn runde blev jeg høfligt stoppet af hele 4 forskellige personer, som alle kom og kommenterede bloggen her. Wauw! Det var i første runde. Resten af aftenen blev der kommenteret til den et par gange eller 4 mere. Det er jo vanvittigt at opleve. Nu ved jeg virkelig at i er “nogen” som læser med og følger med. Det var ikke alle kommentarer som var lige positive, men de fleste af dem var. Tak fordi i kom hen. Det betyder sgu ret meget for mig folkens. Jeg tager mine tanker og putter bogstaver på dem og gør dem offentligt tilgængelige, så følelsen af at i ser med, er for cool! Jeg fik en masse spørgsmål om hvad som drev mig til at skrive den, hvad som drev mig til at lukke sådan op, om jeg ikke var nervøs for den feedback jeg kan få osv. Hehe, jeg var nu mest inde for at feste og ha det fedt, men besluttede mig nu her i toget på vej mod KBH at beskrive mine tanker i går samt at gå lidt i detaljer. Hvad driver mig til at skrive på bloggen… Hånden på hjertet, så startede jeg bloggen for at spare min familie, mine venner og bekendte for daglige telefonopkald med opture over mit liv. Jeg ville ikke miste mine venners respekt “blot” fordi jeg var i færd med en fantastisk rejse, som ville kræve uttallige tillægsord, billedlige historier og en fucking massiv gang pral. Haha. Så jeg tænkte:” Jeg skriver og skriver og så kan de “tjekke ind”, når DE har lyst…” Så hvad driver mig? Det som driver mig er, når min mor f.eks. skriver en sms til mig:” Læste lige om dine oplevelser i går. Super det kører!” DET driver mig. Det driver mig at mine tætteste kan følge med, uden at jeg gør dem “trætte” af mig. For jeg oplever fucking mange ting og jeg har brug for at dele dem. Min blog gør mig i stand til dette. Er du ikke nervøs for at blive sat i bås for det du skriver? Haha… Well igen, ærligt… Jo da! Men jeg er også nervøs når jeg ytre mig i et stort selskab, men inden jeg åbner kæften har jeg tænkt 2 gange og så stoler jeg på, at det jeg føler, tænker, gør er det rigtige… for mig. Det er det samme med bloggen. Bloggen bliver altid skrevet på i dét øjeblik jeg føler, tænker eller bare vil ud med noget. Det giver frihed! Så svaret er JO jeg er nervøs, men da jeg har tænkt over de ord jeg skriver vil jeg til hver en tid kunne tale min sag. I’m for real og total transparent. Og er det klogt når nu jeg har en forretning at passe? Hmm. Godt spørgsmål. Svaret er ja! Jeg holder mig bare bevidst fra meget følelsesmæssige emner som Religion, Politik og Sport. Haha. Jeg skriver min livsstil ned. Mine syrede tanker. Mine svar på mine egne spørgsmål. Vil du gerne være kendt? Haha! Jeg elsker det her spørgsmål, for det kan virkelig fælde den mest ydmyge medieluder! Svaret er nej! men med et stort MEN. Dét at være “kendt” er et vidt begreb. Jeg ønsker f.eks. ikke at deltage i reality programmer (medmindre det var Robinson 2009 – haha), jeg ønsker ikke, at gøre ALT for at komme på den røde løber, jeg stræber ikke efter at stå foran et TV kamera, MEN jeg elsker at influerer (påvirke) min omverden. Jeg elsker at dele mine erfaringer med så mange som muligt. Jeg elsker at påvirke min omverden til action og pt. giver min blog mig mulighed for netop det. Så nej, jeg ønsker ikke at være kendt, men skulle det ske fordi jeg påvirker flere og flere, then let it be it! Er du glad for dig selv? Jeg ELSKER mig fucking selv! Og til alle der ikke elsker sig selv, vil jeg klart sige: PRØV det! Det er fantastisk! Når det så er skrevet, så mener jeh ikke, at jeg elsker og forguder mig selv. Jeg har ikke NOK i mig selv. Slet ikke. Jeg mener bare, at du skal elske dig selv før du kan elske andre. Du skal leve med dig selv resten af livet og hvis ikke at JEG elsker ham jeg er, hvordan fanden kan jeg så forvente at andre vil elske ham? Min selvtillid er solid fra de slag jeg har fået gennem tiden, men mit selvværd er top grundet al den “kærlighed” jeg giver mig selv. Jeg dyrker mig selv. Jeg tager tid til mig selv. Lytter til mine drømme og tager actions på dem. Jeg er lykkelig fordi jeg praktiserer det, ikke fordi jeg “bare” vælger at være det. WWF releases Living Planet Report ?We are living as if we have an extra planet at our disposal. We are using 50 per cent more resources than the Earth can sustainably produce and unless we change course, that number will grow fast ? by 2030 even two planets will not be enough.? Those are the scary words of WWF International Director General Jim Leape on the findings of his organizations Living Planet Report. A biennial survey of the Earth?s health, the 2012 Living Planet report found that the ever-growing demand for resources by a growing population is putting tremendous pressures on our planet?s biodiversity and is threatening our future security, health and well-being. The report was launched on Tuesday with the help of ESA astronaut André Kuipers, who gave a poignant reminder for why the health of our planet should be the primary goal of every government. WWF, Avaaz and Greenpeace team up to fight for the Amazon Three of TckTckTck?s largest partner organizations are jointly mobilizing their 22 million supporters to call on Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff to veto the Forest Code bill passed by the House of Deputies. WWF, Greenpeace and Avaaz say the proposed changes to the Forest Code would threaten recent successes in reducing forest loss and compromise efforts to tackle corruption in the Amazon region. Already nearly 1.8 million people from around the world have signed the shared petition calling on President Rousseff to veto the proposed Forest Code, and the three groups hope to raise that number as high as 2 million in the coming days. President Rousseff has not reacted publicly nor indicated whether she intends to fight the measure since it was passed on 25 April. Independent research organizations estimate the new legislation could lead to the loss of up to 76.5 million hectares (190 million acres) of forest, which translates to 28 billion tonnes of added CO2 in the atmosphere. This would make it impossible for Brazil to reach its carbon reduction targets, a potential embarrassment for the host of the Rio +20 Summit in June. Rousseff has until 25 May to veto all or part of the bill, or allow it to become law. Canadian environmental orgs to Black out, Speak Out The continued assault on the rights and freedoms of Canada?s environmental watchdogs and organizations by Stephen Harper?s Conservative government has pushed groups to a breaking point. After the government announced it would seek to reduce the ability of environmental organizations to intervene in federal policy decisions (such as the Enbridge Northern Gateway Tar Sands pipeline), Canadian groups formed a united front to fight back. Find out more on their website: blackoutspeakout.ca iMatter youth take on US Government in historic legal battle Last Friday, Alec Loorz and six other youth from five US states exercised their constitutional rights by visiting all three branches of government, calling for action against climate change on behalf of their entire generation. These youth leaders are part of the iMatter Campaign, and are all plaintiffs in the Alec L v Jackson lawsuit, for failing to protect the atmosphere as a public trust. As Alec says in his op-ed which we posted earlier last week: ?But the reality is, this case is a fight between those who make money from the way things are and the entire youngest generation who will not. It?s profits vs. people; short term interests vs. the future of generations yet to come; greed vs. sustainability. In fact, we?re not even fighting ?against? the fossil fuel lobbyists at all, we are fighting for them. We?re fighting on behalf of their children.? The concept behind their lawsuit is simple. In it, the US government would accept responsibility for failing to act on climate change, and then commit to a specific plan for climate recovery, using standards set by climatologist Dr. James Hansen. The hearing for the Motion to Dismiss was last Friday. Some of the standout events from the day included: London occupiers connecting the dots between climate impacts, fossil fuels and finances, with a day of talks, games of ?extreme? Twister and film screenings. Underwater activists hold a banner in front of a damaged coral reef in the vulnerable Marshall Islands. Rising temperatures and increased CO2 uptake are raising the acidity of the ocean, which bleaches and ultimately kills fragile coral reefs. One hundred youth from the Jordan Valley, Amman, and Salt, gathered at the shores of the Dead Sea, organized by Friends of the Earth Middle East. They held balloons to symbolize the dramatic 26m drop in the Dead Sea water levels since the 1960s. The balloons were red, warning of the immediate need for action, and extended to different heights up to 26 meters, demonstrating the continuously declining water levels throughout the years. Vi sad overfor hinanden, så der var ikke et øjebliks stilhed den pige kan simpelthen få mig til at grine på en måde ingen andre kan. Beviset fik jeg, da jeg kl. 23.30 forlod festen…der var jeg øm i ribbenene lige over maven af at grine hehe Michael hentede mig, vi skulle op og til familie fødselsdag næste dag. The group?s letter was backed by a letter of support (http://bit.ly/JRLBOT) from the CEOS of more than 25 leading civil society organizations from around the world, which calls for these commitments to take the form of a pledge at the upcoming Rio+20 earth summit. The call comes six months into the United Nations Sustainable Energy for All (UN SEFA) campaign, which seeks to deliver universal energy access by 2030. In order to make good on that pledge the International Energy Agency (IEA) has found (http://bit.ly/zNduXr) that half of all energy services must be provided by off-grid clean energy. Unfortunately, today?s investments in energy access are heavily skewed toward traditional grid extension, with billions going to large scale centralized power projects which are often heavily polluting coal plants.  Worse, according to the IEA, an over reliance on these investments at the expense of off grid clean energy investments will leave one billion of the world?s poor without energy access by 2030. ?There are literally one billion reasons to change our current approach to energy access,? says Justin Guay, Washington Representative with the Sierra Club?s International Climate Program. ?The World Bank has a tremendous opportunity to do just that by committing to rapidly scale up investments in off grid clean energy at Rio.? Hvad kunne f.eks. interessere sådan en ung herre på 26 år? …”Noget med nattelivet” blev der så sagt. Det er noget med clubs, hvor man drikker cocktails, hører musik og danser hele natten. Han nævnte et sted, der hedder Weekend, som han kunne anbefale. Weekend står også på rækken over Penthouse Clubs, som jeg fandt på berlin.de. Altså clubber, der ligger så højt og har panoramavinduer, så man kan se ud over hele byen. Weekend ligger på 12. etage af det tidligere Haus des Reisens ved Alexanderplatz. Navnet havde det fordi bygningen indtil genforeningen husede direktionen for ?Reisebüro der Deutschen Demokratischen Republik? und  Interflugs kontorer. Andre Penthouse Clubs der er nævnt på berlin.de’s oversigt er  Puro Sky-Lounge i  Europa Centers højhus i Tauentzienstrasse, Solar i nærheden af Potsdamer Platz og 40seconds i Potsdamer Strasse. Læg lige mærke til, når I går ind og læser om Puro Sky-Lounge, at der står, at man har 370 graders udsigt – det er da ligegodt voldsomt! Det er mere en cirkelrundt!
