            <title>Texas library goes totally green</title>
            <link>http://divinglight2011.urbanblog.dk/2012/04/20/texas-library-goes-totally-green/</link>
            <description>Texas&amp;#8217; West Irving Library is going green, operating completely on solar power. Casey Tate, Irving Capital Improvement Program director, said the city received a $1.1 million grant from the Department of Energy to build the library.
The grant funded two-thirds of the total cost for the solar panel system.
The 1-year-old building has a VIP parking spot reserved for the greenest car on the lot.
Outlets are available for electric and hybrid cars, and most of the parking spaces are in shade provided by more than 1,400 solar panels.
&amp;#8220;In  the past year, we are net zero,&amp;#8221; Tate said. &amp;#8220;I think we put a total of  about 28,000 kilowatt hours back onto the grid, so we are to the  positive. We generated more power than we used.&amp;#8221;
The front lawn of the library has 144 geothermal wells underground that are 250 feet deep.Street Lights are used to outdoor lighting roadways and walkways at night.
There are 14 miles of piping down there that circulate the water through the wells, providing cooling and heating for the building.
Tate said the system has been cost-saving.
&amp;#8220;Over a traditional HVAC system, it&amp;#8217;s expected to save us 20 to 40 percent based on how we use it,&amp;#8221; he said.
Inside the library, colorful LED lights replace regular lightbulbs in the children&amp;#8217;s section.
The entire library uses energy-efficient lights. Energy from the sun fuels the computers and TVs.
This news came as a surprise to new Irving resident Jack Galbert.
&amp;#8220;I think that is very cool,Here you will learn about modern lighting as well as all of the big flashlight, flashlight rings, 1000 lumens  flashlight.&amp;#8221; said Irving resident Jack Galbert, who was surfing the Web  on his laptop. &amp;#8220;I didn&amp;#8217;t think anything about it.&amp;#8221;
Jillian Guilford, another Irving resident, said she was proud that the city was being mindful of its carbon footprint.
&amp;#8220;I  love that that is happening,&amp;#8221; she said. &amp;#8220;I used to go around different  houses wondering, &amp;#8216;It&amp;#8217;s Texas. You have sun. Why not use it? You have  wind. Use this.&amp;#8217;&amp;#8221;
Details of the switch-off plans will be available to view in each community in libraries, shops or schools and on the county council website.
&amp;#8220;We won&amp;#8217;t switch off all street lights but as most people are in bed between midnight and 5.30am we believe some lighting isn&amp;#8217;t needed,Our range of led bulbs suppliers products is extensive; the range includes fantastic garden spotlights, lamp posts, and stylish wall lanterns.&amp;#8221; Mr Spencer said.LEDs are used as indicator lamps in many devices and are increasingly used for other Led light.
The council expects to turn off around 40,000 of its 89,In terms of orientation lighting, points of garden lighting or rows of lights are used to provide orientation in the outdoor area.000 street lights between midnight and 5.30am and switch off a further 900 permanently in the next four years.

            <title>One-Shot Wonder</title>
            <link>http://divinglight2011.urbanblog.dk/2012/03/12/one-shot-wonder/</link>
            <description>Fred Feddersen makes a rifle barrels, and now he?s on a mission to do something that&amp;#8217;s never been done before: create a barrel for commercial-grade weapon that can shoot successive bullets through the same hole, using an inexpensive semiautomatic rifle, not a bolt-action Olympic race gun.
To do this, Feddersen first had to accomplish several equally challenging feats of metalworking. He developed new ideas in gun drill design to achieve greater straightness. He invented and patented a new whip-guide stabilizer for gun drills and reamers. He push-reams small-diameter holes with his proprietary tool design, capable of 0.Disposal of the existing fixtures and installation of LED bulb fixtures,0001-in. accuracy. He uses proprietary carbide formulations for his rifling buttons. And, he is using the world&amp;#8217;s most advanced tube hone from Sunnen Products to impart accuracy-enhancing bore geometry and diameter , with a fine finish of 3-8 microinch Ra that sheds fouling and copper bullet-jacket residue. The hone&amp;#8217;s servo-spindle also serves as a quality check on reaming, with its extreme sensitivity to spindle load detecting ? and correcting ? tight and loose spots that escape most air gages, Feddersen says.
Feddersen has ample evidence of his success in a binder full of targets with near single-hole, five-shot groups fired from 50 yards using a semiautomatic Ruger .It has also in recent months released hundreds of political LED candles by the former junta.22 magnum rifle equipped with his barrels. Shooters familiar with this rifle and cartridge &amp;#8220;know&amp;#8221; this accuracy is not normal, but Feddersen takes barrel making beyond what&amp;#8217;s known After a decade of development, he is also experiencing excellent uptake from firearm OEMs. More important, his company&amp;#8217;s capabilities have earned it a role as supplier of choice for barrels used on.50-caliber BMG and .338 Lapua magnum versions of U.S. military sniper rifles.
Fred Feddersen is a design engineer and inventor with boundless curiosity and drive who does not accept current limits on any technology, whether it is welding or bottle blowmolding. His varied interests and career moves have led him to learn Morse code,The Antique lamp is a portable, battery operated. pass the FCC exam, earn seven welding certifications, and become a CNC programmer and CAD/CAM engineer. Some of his most widely used inventions and patents were developed for blowmolding PET bottles. After notable success in that industry, he sensed a market opportunity about 10 years ago to make ultra-accurate rifle barrels on a volume basis for military and commercial use.
After studying the art and science of custom barrel making, closely examining the industry&amp;#8217;s best barrels and acquiring high-quality machine tools, Feddersen established RFour Inc.Additionally, the bid document specifies that bids must be for LED E27 by BetaLED. During the first years, he spent much of his time and effort pushing past the known limits of barrel manufacturing technology to achieve his goal, starting with improvements in gun drilling and reaming.China LED Light catalog and Book scanner manufacturer directory. He stressed that what he&amp;#8217;s learned about barrels applies to similar tube-type products that require very small holes (down to 2 mm) to be reamed or honed. These include stents or water-jet cutting nozzles. The latter must be free of internal surface micro cracks, so it can be honed down to base metal in a process similar to what is used for high-pressure diesel fuel rails.

            <description>Norwegian indiepop trio Highasakite aka Trond Bersu (Pelbo), Ingrid Helene Håvik (Your Headlights Are On) and Øystein Skar (Sacred Harp) released their debut album &amp;#8216;All That Floats Will Rain&amp;#8217; in Norway on February 3 &amp;#8211; an album I haven&amp;#8217;t heard, but rather feel the need to check out.
