(We will play along and call the marketing exercise a “competition”) To make it short, Nokia has basically asked 100 Danish, interesting and creative minds to make daily 10-second videos with the new Nokia Lumia 800. Through these videos they?ve been showing us how they make their everyday life more spectacular. When the competition then is finished, three Danish directors, Michael Noer, Kasper Wedendahl and Martin De Thurah, are going to edit the clips down to one big documentary film. Now, Denmark is not the only country where Nokia has been using fresh thinking to launch their new product. Internationally they?ve been doing not only insane live shows, but also live music acts. To show you guys a few, here?s the light show they recently did in Poland; We recently blogged about the main launch event in London, where Deadmau5 performed live music to a crazy light show; Nokia also did something big here in Copenhagen, where they used the national football stadium to do a launch event for 150 VIP guests; Without a doubt I consider Nokia?s launch of the Lumia 800 cool, new and fresh. It?s clearly a strike against Apple?s iPhone, which seems to have taking over the smartphone market, and I think it?s a good way to try and make their way back, definitely! But what I actually find most interesting about Nokia Lumia 800′s launch, is the story of Kenneth Nguyen? If the name doesn?t ring a bell (which it should and will), Kenneth is a very talented Danish photographer who’s been shooting all kinds of pictures for years know. He’s famous for his “mugshot series”, but you’ll definitely recognize some of his concert pictures, and especially his pictures from “Distortion” (pictures we have loved to use in various blogs). What he uniquely has done with the Nokia competition is to tell the story of how he recently re-united with his father, who he hadn?t seen for 14 years (read the full story here, it?s a good read!). Now, what he did to tell the story visually was to use sixteen of his ?10-second clips? to show the process of the re-uniting of father and son, here they are; Turning a random competition into something like this is just beautiful, and I really take off my hat for that. It’s thinking of a true photographer! Kenneth added a short comment, when we asked him about the competion. “Well, at first my plan was to just film random stuff and do pranks on my friends that I could stage and act to, but ending up being in front of my father was as real as it gets. I was filmed live while it was happening right there! Slater?s comments came in the wake of Kohli?s fabulous 77-run-innings that inspired Team India to a classy four-wicket victory against Sri Lanka on Wednesday. The former Aussie batsman believes Kohli is one of few batsmen who have appropriate technique for every format of the sport. "The thing that impresses me about Kohli is his technique. If you look at all the upcoming batsmen in the world, they have techniques for Twenty20 cricket and not Tests," said Slater who is on commentary duties these days. The 23-year-old has played in 76 one-dayers so far, scoring 2968 runs at a fine average of 47.11. He also has eight ODI tons to his credit. A few analysts argue that Kohli is not good for the longest version of the game; however, his fantastic century in the recent Test series against Australia was enough to seal their lips of the critics. Slater described that the young man has a bright future ahead, adding: "The way Kohli goes back and across should be the foundation of batting, but nowadays, youngsters stay besides the ball to open the shots on the off side." He also shared: "I have watched a lot of him on TV in ODI cricket, and the Indian media is constantly behind his inability to play the short ball. But as the tour progressed, he has looked more comfortable. That means he’s learning quickly, which is great for India." After an embarrassing 4-0 loss in the Tests, the Men in Blue are looking to show something different in the one-dayers. Kohli, who struggled with cramps during his knock at Perth, will be India?s main player in an aim to win the ongoing triangular series. Slater also hoped that there will not be anything serious with Kohli?s injury, expecting the youngster to keep entertaining his fans. "Let’s hope he is fit for the next game. David will turn 35 in July 2012, but the all-rounder believes he still has a lot to offer. Courtesy of his consistent performance, he has become an integral part of the Aussie limited-over side, but unlike his older brother Michael Hussey, David is yet to taste the longest version of the game. "You want to be in a winning World Cup, it’s probably second to playing Test cricket for Australia," said Hussey, who will be 37 by the time of next mega event. "It (playing in 2015 World Cup) is realistic. I want to keep doing well. If you keep doing well you give the selectors a hard task to make that phone call to say you’re not in the team. If I keep doing well and contributing to the team’s success, you just never know. It’s very hard to drop someone from a series win," Sydney Morning Herald quoted him as saying. The 34-year-old has played in 34 T20 internationals so far, scoring 733 runs at a strike of 122.16. Der er endnu ingen panik blandt de atleter vi træner, men jeg ved at der går ikke lang tid før end at de bliver bange for at miste vigtige træningsuger, hvor de ikke kan træne 100 % som de gerne vil. I sådan en situation kan du vælge at investere i en flybillet til varmere og mere træningsvenlige områder af Europa, eller du kan vælge at slide løbebåndende tynde rundt omkring i fitnesscentre eller få set en masse dvd´er mens du sidder og sveder på cyklen på hometraineren. Og ja, det kan være svært og til tider mere skadende end opbyggende, at forsøge sig med intervaller og hård træning udendørs, når veje og stier er dækket med sne og is. Men reduceres intensiteten kan du fortsat få trænet langt de fleste af de planlagte træningspas, hvilket langt hen ad vejen faktisk er vigtigere end det specifikke træningsindhold. I mit trænerarbejde går kontinuitet og stabilitet i træningen forud for specifikke intervaller og træningsintensiteter. I min egen karriere var en af mine styrker, at jeg meget sjældent missede et træningspas. Jeg justerede fra tid til anden på indholdet, men trænet fik jeg altid. Det danske landshold i triatlon har under ledelse af landstræner Michael Krüger ligeledes haft stor succes med at have fokus på kontinuiteten. For eksempel har Torbjørn Sindballe  opnået store resultater med dgangspunkt i at placeres kvalitetstræningen på et fundament af kontinuitet. Det er interessant at følge udviklingen med videnskabelige briller. Flere idrætsfysiologer studerer i disse år effekten af meget intensiv kvalitetstræning og konklusionen er ofte, at det medfører en stor præstationsfremgang. Den høj-intensive træningen udelukker i sig selv ikke kontinuitetsprincippet, men den kræver dog en del mellemliggende restitutionsdage, hvis atleten ikke skal ende med at komme i overtræning eller skadet. Alligevel er der historisk set flest mestre inden for udholdenhedssportsgrene som løb, svømning, cykling og triatlon der nævner kontinuiteten som deres vigtigste kilde til succes frem for kort og intensiv træning Med den idrætsfysiologiske viden vi har i dag, hvorfor der er så f.eks. ingen danske eliteløbere der er i nærheden af de tider som Henrik Jørgensen og Allan Zachariasen kunne præstere? De fleste har en mere videnskabelig tilgang til deres løbetræning, men ingen kan notere det samme antal kilometer i dagbogen som dem! Når man skal lave et kostume, der forestiller en bestemt person, skal man naturligvis hæfte sig ved de bestemte karakteristika, som denne person måtte have. Med så stor en prisseddel vil Facebook stryge direkte ind i internet-aktiernes superliga. Disse tæller bl.a. Google, der har en markedsværdi på USD 190 mia., Amazon (USD 83 mia.) og eBay (USD 42 mia.). Det forventes, at over en milliard mennesker kloden over vil have en Facebook-profil ved årets udgang. Denne kundebase er opnået på rekordtid, siden Facebook startede op i 2004. Selskabet har dermed opnået en meget vigtig ?first-mover-advantage? i forhold til andre sociale netværk på internettet. Svært at vippe Facebook af pinden Facebooks forretningsmodel har nemlig såkaldte netværks-effekter. Det betyder, at værdien af Facebook-netværket stiger eksponentielt med antallet af brugere på netværket. Når nye brugere skal beslutte sig for, hvilket socialt netværk de vil melde sig til, taler meget for, at man vælger Facebook. Alene af den grund at det er her, der allerede er flest tilmeldt brugere. Derfor bliver det ualmindelig svært for konkurrenterne at vippe Facebook af pinden. Google prøver med et konkurrerende produkt ? Google+, og selvom succesen har været begrænset hidtil, så skal man ikke undervurdere Google. Selskabet bruger ca. DKK 2,5 mia. på forskning og udvikling om måneden! Facebook skal blive rigtig dygtige til at tjene penge Facebook er altså allerede blevet en stor succes, men det betyder ikke nødvendigvis, at man bør købe aktien. Selvom Facebook har mange brugere, er det indtil videre begrænset, hvor meget selskabet tjener på dem. Sidste år landede overskuddet på USD 1 mia. Hvis markedsværdien lander på USD 100 mia. svarer det til, at man betaler 100 dollar for en dollars overskud. Så høj en prissætningen kræver, at overskuddet vokser betydeligt i de kommende år, for at aktien er prisen værd. Facebook skal altså blive rigtig dygtige til at tjene penge på de mange brugere. På sigt kunne abonnementsbetaling være en mulighed, men spørgsmålet er, om brugerne vil acceptere det. Specielt når der trods alt findes alternativer i form af fx Google+. Selvom vi tøver med at kalde det umuligt, så taler sandsynlighederne for, at det bliver svært for Facebook at trække tilstrækkeligt mange penge ud af brugerne, hvis en prisseddel på USD 100 mia. kan retfærdiggøres.
