            <title>Likeminded forms alliance with PML-N</title>
            <link>http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/Newspakistanpk/~3/bxJOCuekzD0/</link>
<description>In order to give tough time to Pakistan Peoples? Party (PPP), Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and PML-Likeminded reached an agreement to form a political alliance in the upcoming general elections.
The agreement of seat-to-seat adjustment was signed by general secretaries of both parties in Raiwind on Saturday.
From the Likeminded Group Humayon Akhtar, Gohar Ayub, Salim Saifullah, Hamid Nasir Chattha and Kashmala Tariq took part in the meeting. From PML-N side Nawaz Sharif was leading a group of party leaders including Shahbaz Sharif, Mehtab Abbasi, Zafar Iqbal Jhagra
Addressing the press conference where the agreement was announced, Humayun Akhtar, the General Secretary of Likeminded, briefed the media on the number of seats allotted to the party.
He observed, ?According to the agreement made between the two parties today, 30 (which come to 11 percent) general seats in the National Assembly have been allotted to Likeminded in the upcoming elections?.
The Likeminded leader further said that the same percentage of general seats have been allotted to Likeminded for all provinces, saying that allocation of reserved seats for women, minorities and the senate were to be based on other terms.
He commented, ?Likeminded will be given fair representation in parliamentary boards, manifesto committees and bodies for future alliances?.
PML-N Secretary-General Zafar Iqbal Jhagrha while speaking on the occasion said, ?Both parties agree that the country?s conditions ? whether in Karachi, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa or Gilgit-Baltistan ? are rapidly deteriorating?.
He said that two parties have agreed that they would have to join hands if they have to rescue the country from this crisis and establish stability.
After absorbing the Mumtaz Bhutto?s Sindh National Front (SNF), the PML-N succeeded to engage the PML-Likeminded, a breakaway faction of the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q).
Last year, the Likeminded group had entered into negotiations with PTI Chairman Imran Khan to discuss a possible alliance. However, the talks broke down after Imran asked Likeminded leaders to join his party individually or collectively.

<title>Think before you Speak: Sindh Chief Minister apologizes to Kingri House</title>
            <link>http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/Newspakistanpk/~3/qYSXgrvTNvY/</link>
<description>In what appeared to be a blow for the PPP, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah reportedly offered apology to Pir Pagara Sibghatullah Shah Rashdi for the remarks passed by Shazia Marri against Shah Mardan Shah (the late Pir Pagara VII).
The PML-F, the government?s ally party in the province, had threatened to walk out of the coalition government if Pakistan Peoples? Party&amp;#8217;s leaders did not apologize.
CM Qaim Ali Shah observed, ?I clarified (Marri?s) statement, (but) came here to invite the PML-F to the public gathering that the Pakistan Peoples? Party will organize in Ghotki on Saturday?.
Criticizing Pir Pagara VII, Sindh Sindh Information Minister Shazia Marri had called him a GHQ agent.
In reply to the PML-F?s demand for an apology, the Chief Minister asserted ?Shazia Marri had already apologised for her remarks. There is no more confusion between the two parties over the issue?.
He reiterated the government?s stance that only criminals were targeted in Lyari and that no operation had taken place in the area, adding that a vast majority of the local people was still with them. He claimed that they could hold a big gathering in the area whenever it is required.
About Sindh National Front?s (SNF) Mumtaz Bhutto?s decision to merge his party with the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, the Chief Minister said that the two leaders would be unable to win a single parliamentary seat from the province.
He noted, ?The people who are joining PML-N failed to deliver whenever they came to power. The people of Sindh rejected them in the last election too?.
At the occasion, Pir Pagara Sibghatullah Shah Rashdi said that his party would support the PPP?s candidate for premiership, in case Yousaf Raza Gilani was removed from his current post.
He said, ?We will also extend our full support to the PPP during the by-polls in Sanghar.? The seat fell vacant after provincial minister Abdul Salam Thaheem died on April 22.
PML-F Sindh general secretary Imtiaz Shaikh said that all cabinet members of his party would resume their duties and MPAs would end their boycott of the Sindh Assembly sessions.

It is poor but some things are expensive, others are sheep but is more expensive and Thailand. It is more expensive think so anyway I am. But I understand that people think about The Gambia and the people there. The are Muslims and there are Christians in The Gambia.

It&amp;#8217;s very easy to meet nice and good Africa Girls in the Gambia if you want but as always, you should be careful when you do not know the person you just met, keep your credicards, passport, Down lode GPS tracking app to your mobil and so on in the hotel safty box and only keep money for one day in the pocket.

I have heard that The Gambia has an extremely low crime rate and I feel that it was very safe, and people were very concerned about my safety it was so nice. I Love Gambia and hope I can see more of the country during the next trip. Admin

<title>PML-N launches protest demonstrations against Prime Minister Gilani</title>
            <link>http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/Newspakistanpk/~3/egzbOgQCjLI/</link>
<description>The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) organized protest demonstrations against Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, asking him to quit his post after conviction from the Supreme Court.
The PML-N took out rallies in Karachi and Gujranwala, seeking one objective with different slogans and demands.
The PML-N had announced the launch of its protest demonstrations against the premier?s refusal to step down. The organizers had made arrangements for around 8,000 to 10,000 people, but protestors turned frenzied as they burnt effigies.
Although it was a rally against mismanagement of the government, the PML-N itself failed to organize the event where the PML-N youth wing scuffled with organizers when they tried to get on the stage.
PML-N leader Khwaja Saad Rafique while addressing the Gujranwala rally said the convicted prime minister should resign, else the entire Pakistan People?s Party (PPP) government would have to face public justice.
He further said the prime minister was a convict and had no moral ground to govern the country, adding that before the long-march, the PM would have to do a quick march towards the pavilion.
He observed, ?We are pro-democracy and have given them time to mend their selves, but instead of doing something for the betterment of the masses they have exploited the whole nation?.
The PML-N leader said the apex court had declared the premier a convict and he should quit his post otherwise a long march will decide his fate. The convicted prime minister was involved in various corruption scandals and had played with the future of the people through nepotism, he added.
The PML-N also organized an anti-government rally at the Karachi Press Club where Saleem Zia, Marvi Memon and Mushahid Ullah addressed the party workers and protestors.
Earlier, Nawaz Sharif invited Imran Khan to join his movement to oust Prime Minister Gilani following his conviction by the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
However, Imran Khan said he would join the PML-N?s movement if they quit from parliament, which was unacceptable to the Sharif Brothers.

            <title>PML-N continues protest in parliament</title>
            <link>http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/Newspakistanpk/~3/wbVeOQCLn4I/</link>
<description>The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), the second largest party in Parliament staged walked out from National Assembly and Senate, vowing to continue protest until Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani resigned from his post.
The opposition boycotted the debate on President Asif Ali Zardari?s address to the both houses of the parliament. Senator Zafar Ali Shah while speaking to the media observed, ?We will not participate in the proceedings till Gilani?s resignation?.
The PML-N leader asked the Senate chairman to follow the constitution and not start a debate on the president?s address to the parliament till the matter of the Prime Minister?s conviction was resolved.
Earlier, Federal Law Minister Faooq H Naek submitted the motion saying, ?This House (Senate) expresses its deep gratitude to the President for this address to both Houses assembled together on March 17?.
The Pakistan Peoples? Party (PPP) decided to continue the lawmaking process, as the PML-N staged a walked-out for an indefinite time period. Senator Raza Rabbani asked their colleges to participate in the debate, terming it a constitution matter.
Rabbani commented, ?The PML-N should follow the constitution and express their views on the president?s speech?.
Senator Afrasiab Khattak of Awami National Party (ANP) while taking part in the debate praised the services of President Asif Ali Zardari, calling him a man who loves democracy.
However, the PML-N continued its protest throughout the session. PML-N Senator Mushahidullah Khan said that no debate could take place in the presence of a convicted prime minister and his cabinet.
In the meantime, the PML-N staged protest demonstration against Gilani, compelling Deputy Speaker Faisal Karim Kundi to indefinitely postpone the National Assembly session.
Due to the PML-N?s protest and chats of ?Go Gilani Go?, issues of the day?s agenda, including the party?s own resolution regarding formation of new provinces, could not be discussed.
However, the treasury benches passed the National Human Rights Commission Bill 2012 in the 30-minute session.
Earlier on Thursday, amid noisy protests from the PML-N, the remainder majorities of both houses of parliament placed their ?complete confidence? in Prime Minister Gilani. The National Assembly also demanded a new province of south Punjab.

            <title>Hype in politics ? PML-N and PPP face-to-face</title>
            <link>http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/Newspakistanpk/~3/h7JIVhFrO8I/</link>
<description>Despite the detailed judgment in the contempt case of Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani has yet not come, he has proved that he enjoys the confidence of the majority in Parliament.
However, the fuss being created at every sitting of both the houses, the National Assembly and the Senate, by the PML-N lawmakers therefore would achieve little more than creating provisional obstacles in the smooth working.
One will be wonder if the PML-N?s claim is really genuine that it stands by the supremacy of Parliament. It became isolated in the parliament due to agitation it exhibited inside the two houses.
In quite bravo move, the National Assembly threw its weight behind the premier by passing a resolution in favor of him. All the parties except the PML-N voted for the convicted prime minister.
In the meantime, the lower house approved a resolution with simple majority in favor of a Seraiki province. Dissimilar to the PML-N, the Pakistan Peoples? Party (PPP) has rendered its support to a separate province that would comprise of all Southern districts of Punjab.
The resolution also proved that they were backing the ruling party rather than the PML-N which wants to carve out four more federating units.
The only constitutional way of removing the prime minister is by calling on him to show majority in the National Assembly.
However, Gilani has overtaken on the PML-N by taking initiative to prove that he still commands a majority of the lawmakers. The only best way under the circumstances would be to wait for the next elections due in less than 12 months.
I could not understand the impatience of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N). It is ineffective to scatter energies in organizing protests and public gatherings when even the leadership is not hopeful of drawing large crowds in view of the rising mercury and the harvesting season.
By the time the elections arrive, the PML-N would have consumed much of its energy against a single rival while others will use the period to make inroads into its constituencies.

            <title>PML-Likeminded also demands PM?s resignation</title>
            <link>http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/Newspakistanpk/~3/X9egGawA_U4/</link>
<description>Pakistan Muslim League (Likeminded) has also demanded the resignation of Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani after conviction by Supreme Court in the contempt case.
This was said by Chairman Steering Committee of PML (Likeminded) Salim Saif Ullah during a press conference after the meeting of his party here on Saturday. Senior Party Leaders Humayun Akhtar Khan and Gohar Ayub were also present on the occasion.
He asked Speaker National Assembly to forward the reference of Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani to election commission at an early date so that the decision could be made on his eligibility. ?No doomsday would be occurred if elections would be held before six months earlier?, Saif Ullah added.
He told the media that the meeting of PML (Likeminded) was continued up to three hours in which consultation was made regarding the verdict of Supreme Court. The government made fun of the Supreme Court?s decision.
He said that Pakistan is passing through hard time. The homeland is like the mother and likeminded requests the rulers no to adopt such behavior with her, for which they feel shame.
Humayun Akhtar Khan said on the occasion that Prime Minister should has been tendered resignation after the court decision but on the other hand he refused to accept it at all. At present the country badly needs fresh mandate.
He advised the rulers not to make the court decision matter of ego. If they would not give respect to the court, how the other countries would respect the courts of Pakistan.
Gohar Ayub Khan said that if there is a issue of ineligibly of any member then Speaker must apply his/her mind, but in the particular case, the seven-member bench had applied their mind so there is not any need to further ponder in the case. It is the obligation of the Speaker to forward the matter to election commission forthwith.
He said that registrar Supreme Court can also sent the decision under his covering letter to the Speaker. The privilege of the house would not affect with this act.
He hoped that Supreme Court would also give its verdict on Asghar Khan?s case soon so that the ambiguity in the minds of people should be removed.
