Anders Fogh Rasmussen, der, som en reaktion på hordernes tendentiøse påstande udtalte »If that&amp;#8217;s the basis for the protests, it&amp;#8217;s actually based on lack of knowledge. NATO is a peace movement,«
Then the face of Big Brother faded away again and instead the three slogans of the Party stood out in bold capitals:
WAR IS PEACE
 FREEDOM IS SLAVERY
 IGNORANCE IS STRENGTH

<title>NATO leaders determined to help Afghanistan regain control</title>
            <link>http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/Newspakistanpk/~3/0Fj7G0Az1PQ/</link>
<description>NATO leaders vowed Monday to stand by Afghanistan as it takes control of its own destiny, backing a plan to hand Afghans the lead for security in the war-torn country from mid-2013. In a Chicago summit declaration, US President
Barack Obama and his NATO military allies ratified an ?irreversible? roadmap to ?gradually and responsibly? withdraw 130,000 combat troops by the end of 2014.
But they also ordered military officers to begin planning a post-2014 mission to focus on training, advising and assisting Afghan troops to ensure the government can ward off a resilient Taliban insurgency.?As Afghans stand up,
they will not stand alone,? Obama told the gathering of more than 50 world leaders, focused on ending a decade of war that has left over 3,000 coalition soldiers and tens of thousands of Afghans dead.
British Prime Minister David Cameron, whose country provides the second biggest contingent after the United States, declared: ?We will not desert them.? But while the Western alliance coalesced around an exit strategy, they struggled
to convince Pakistan to reopen a vital supply route into Afghanistan, although NATO chief Anders Fogh Rasmussen voiced optimism it would happen ?in the very near future.? &amp;nbsp; The 28 NATO leaders and their 22 partners in the war, as far afield as Australia, Georgia
and South Korea, issued a final statement saying Afghans will be in ?lead for security nationwide? by mid-2013.
Though NATO troops will gradually shift focus to training and support, alliance officials stressed that foreign soldiers would still participate in combat operations when needed until late 2014. The two-day summit gave Obama a
platform to show a war-weary American public that he has global support for his plan to end the war ahead of a tough re-election campaign against Republican Mitt Romney in November. Chicago was under tight security as thousands of people protested during the
summit, with arrests and scenes of clashes between anti-war demonstrators and riot police on Sunday.

<title>Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Hina Rabbani Khar call for US apology over NATO strike</title>
            <link>http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/Newspakistanpk/~3/MDtf0nQhNP8/</link>
<description>In quite an unexpected move, Chairman Pakistan Peoples? Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar have called for a US apology over cross border attack at Salala check-post that killed 24 Pakistani troops.
Clarifying that Pakistan doesn?t want permanent blockade of NATO supplies, the foreign minister said Pakistan still seeks apology from Washington.
In an exclusive interview to a private TV channel here, Khar said Pakistan?s sovereignty should be respected and the public reaction comes out when sovereignty of the country is violated.
The minister informed that Pakistan?s parliament had urged improved and enhanced ties with the international community but on mutual bases. The parliament thoroughly reviewed Pakistan?s relations with the US and ISAF (International Security Assistance Forces).
Khar said that Pakistan is still under pressure regarding restoration of land route for allied forces. She observed, ?We want to tell the world that Pakistan is also a coalition partner to ensure peace in Afghanistan which is also in the better interest of the region?.
She categorically rejected the criticism over President Asif Ali Zardari?s participation in NATO summit, saying those criticizing the Pakistan?s attendance want to drag the country into backwardness.
Hina Rabbani Khar continued that resumption of supply line for foreign forces was not the issue only between Islamabad and Washington but it is a matter of over 50 countries. If Pakistan is kept at distance from the international community, its stance could not be well understood, she added.
In the meantime, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has made similar demand from Washington. Addressing a ceremony, he voiced concerns against the US drone attacks, saying the strikes were a violation of Pakistan?s sovereignty and independence.
Bilawal stated that questions were being raised on Pak-US friendship following the unilateral operation in Abbottabad, adding that ties between the two countries had been passing through a critical phase.
He observed, &amp;#8220;I urge President Obama to show some courage. I understand he is running for reelection but if he is the same man who inspired the world with his message of hope &amp;amp; change, the future of the NATO mission in Afghanistan should be more important than poll numbers. Pakistan deserves an apology&amp;#8221;.
The PPP chairman said that Pakistan was determined to eliminate terrorism and his mother Benazir Bhutto struggled for the uplift of woman and strengthened democracy.

            <title>A test of Pakistan?s diplomacy</title>
            <link>http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/Newspakistanpk/~3/DvCUrtWqSJ0/</link>
<description>Turkey, the close friend of Pakistan and important ally of NATO forces, desperately wants the land route for allied forces battling in Afghanistan to be resumed.
However, the hype created by the establishment, opposition and a section of media after the highly condemnable Salala check-post attack is standing in the way to resumption of supply-line.
Keeping in view the political, economic and military clout of Pakistan, we should have given a thought out response to the allied countries.
However, the incumbent under the pressure of those who matter blocked the supply line for NATO forces. Furthermore, Pakistan Army declined to join the NATO investigation into the incident, rejecting the explanation given by the probe.
A boycott to Bonn Conference and tripartite talks were among the other rash decisions taken by Pakistan.
Over the recommendations of Parliamentary Committee on National Security (PCNS), parliament sought an apology from the United States and a halt to the drone attacks. Ultimately, Pakistan is facing the consequences of unrealistic decisions.
Drone striking is another outstanding issue between the two countries. The parliamentary panel asked the government to put an halt to drone service as a precondition for resuming the land route for allied forces.
However, it was nothing to avail. Several drone attacks have been carried out in recent days after the committee announced its demands. The US believes that attacks through unmanned air crafts are a vital tool in the war against terrorism.
The Americans have decided to pursue a light-track plan in Afghanistan, as its troops would end their battle in the troubled country.
The responsibility for national security will be taken over completely by the Afghan army and police following the withdrawal of international forces.
In order to save the lives of US troops and reduce the defence budget, the Americans would rely of air strikes wherever these would be required. However, this strategy could bring out disastrous consequences.
Afghanistan is bound to fall to Taliban once the foreign forces are out along with their sophisticated weaponry system. A Taliban-dominated Kabul would serve as the strategic depth for the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) militants who would intensify their attacks inside Pakistan.
On one hand, Pakistan should not pipe dreaming on its part while the US should also realize that this does not bode well either for the region or the international community.
The two will have to find out to continue their cooperation to rid the region of extremism and militancy.

<title>Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar terms NATO summit a successful visit</title>
            <link>http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/Newspakistanpk/~3/tR8b7YoFCdY/</link>
<description>Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar appeared optimistic and sounded positive about the outcome of the attendance of Pakistani delegation in the headship of President Asif Ali Zardari in the two-day NATO summit, held in Chicago, America.
Without explaining the bad press that has dogged the Pakistani delegation during its visit, she observed, ?When there?s a debate about Afghanistan taking place, in your opinion, should a country like Pakistan, which is a responsible regional player, an important neighbor, and a country that has huge stakes in peace and stability in Afghanistan, not participate??
In her view, they had the highest stakes among the 60 countries that participated in the summit. She said the spillover effect of unsteadiness in Afghanistan is instant in Pakistan while the effect that too in Pakistan should be instantaneous if there is stability and peace in Afghanistan.
She said she would not agree with anyone at all who says that Islamabad should not go in such a gathering. Pakistan is a key neighbor of Afghanistan and is a responsible regional player, she added.
While taking umbrage to how the NATO summit was discussed in Pakistan, she observed, ?The US side, the NATO secretary general and the government said that this was an unconditional invite?.
She, however, said that there was a discussion when they would announce the resumption of Ground Lines of Communication (CLOC).
The minister said they had proven that they were going to revisit foreign policy in a very transparent way by giving people confidence and moving forward in straightforward way.
She noted, ?What we need to do is engage with the world, in giving our perspective on what the reality checks are and the challenges are, and how in a partnership way, with tools and frameworks that are acceptable to both parties, and that is pursuing mutual interests?.
Khar said that Pakistan wants to give a strong message to the world that the future of Afghanistan was vital for it and it would work to enable peace and stability in the region. She clarified that they had been doing that at great cost to Pakistan.
While replying to a query, the minister described that no hostile attacks were made on Pakistan during speeches and remarks at the NATO summit.

<title>Turkish Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan offers lessons to Pakistani lawmakers</title>
            <link>http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/Newspakistanpk/~3/p4pBmQY3oPM/</link>
<description>Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has advised Pakistan?s political leadership to avoid going too far in their rivalry, saying it costs them the democratic system itself.
His address to Pakistani parliament was nothing short of a scolding by an elder brother. He, who has already completed two highly successful terms as premier since 2003 and is currently in his third, enjoys good ties with the Pakistani government and opposition alike.
In his ad-lib address, delivered in Turkish, translated into Urdu by an interpreter, to a joint session of parliament, he had plenty of advices for an increasingly irritable opposition.
He observed, ?The real role of the opposition is not to criticize the government merely for the sake of criticism but to point out the ills that need to be corrected?.
In his view, a strong democratic system in Pakistan could lead to an equally strong economic system that could benefit its people in the longer runs.
He advised the youngsters to come forward and participate in the national democratic process, saying there was heavy responsibility on the nation?s lawmakers.
Commending the huge sacrifices rendered by Pakistan in fight against terrorism during the recent years, he added that they understand the pain of Pakistan and will continue to stand by with them in coming days.
Assuring that Turkey and Pakistan would stand together in the fight against, he noted, ?Terrorism and the trilateral arrangement among Pakistan, Turkey and Afghanistan would continue to build towards regional peace?.
The Turkish premier expressed hopes that the defence cooperation between the two countries would get stronger and people-to-people contacts and ties at the level of their business communities and youth would be increased in the coming days.
The joint session had a calming effect on the burgeoning tension between the treasury and opposition benches. It was clearly visible in the sitting, as not only PML-N parliamentarians were present but Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif was also attending it.
The opposition, particularly the PML-N, has raised hell including walking out, protests and sloganeering for the resignation of Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, following he was convicted by the Supreme Court in contempt of court case.
Turkey is also a member of NATO, whose supply route in Afghanistan has been blocked by Pakistan for six months now. Reports claimed that his visit was meant to cool hyped political tempers.

<title>President Zardari offers no quarter in NATO declaration</title>
            <link>http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/Newspakistanpk/~3/kQkEyw66LTk/</link>
<description>President Asif Ali Zardari made no promises in Chicago summit, rejecting intense pressure and NATO?s public call for resuming land routes  in the summit declaration.
The president in his short address to leaders from over 50 countries did not give any indication that Pakistan would resume supply line for foreign forces battling in Afghanistan.
He stated, ?Pakistan believed in partnerships based on trust and respect that will secure the future of our people?. However, Zardari did address the pressing matter of the reopening of NATO supply line, saying Islamabad had asked negotiators to finalize a deal with America.
The president added that the Defence Committee of the Cabinet (DCC) had decided to direct the relevant officials to finalize negotiations for resumption of the Ground Lines of Communication (GLOC).
Calling the botched air raid a serious setback, he said that they were forced to review their engagement and cooperation with the US. In his view, the parliament spoke in favor of cooperation and partnership, adding that the government was bound by the advice of parliament.
He commented, ?Our parliament has also recommended that foreign fighters and non-state actors seeking to destabilize Afghanistan and the region, if found on our soil, must be expelled. We are devising a comprehensive plan for this purpose?.
Zardari was of the opinion that they would require the support of the international community both in terms of resources and capacity building, aiming at the economic well-being of the people of the region affected by the militancy.
He expressed support of all efforts for peace and reconciliation in the war-torn Afghanistan, saying Pakistan?s fate was inter-linked with Afghanistan.
He noted, ?We firmly believe that only an inclusive intra-Afghan dialogue can lead to sustainable peace in Afghanistan?.
In the meantime, US president Barack Obama and his 27 military allies directed concerned officials to start planning a post-2014 mission with a focus on training, advising and assisting Afghan troops.
However, newly elected French President Francois Hollande denied backing down from his decision to pull troops out in 2012, indicating a sign of growing impatience within the coalition partners.

<title>President Obama urges Pakistan to resume NATO supplies</title>
            <link>http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/Newspakistanpk/~3/lqSEES3EIUs/</link>
<description>US President Barack Obama and his Pakistani counterpart Asif Ali Zardari met shortly on Monday on the sidelines of the NATO summit, but made no progress towards resolving their diplomatic standoff over land route for allied forces battling in Afghanistan.
Pakistan?s hard stance on resumption of supplies for foreign forces threatened to outshine the American President?s efforts on the last day of the NATO summit to finalize plans of withdrawing international troops from Afghanistan.
While addressing to more than 50 world leaders, President Obama expressed his frustration at what aides view as Pakistani inflexibility by publicly offering thanks to Russia and other Central Asian countries for providing critical transit of war supplies into Afghanistan in the six months since Pakistan closed its ground routes following the NATO attacks that killed 24 Pakistani troops.
While speaking to the media, Obama said the United States and Pakistan were making diligent progress on a deal. However, he clarified that he was not looking resolution of the dispute during the NATO summit.
The deadlock over the land route for NATO forces has distracted from a carefully choreographed moot in which Islamabad and Washington understood the strained relations.
President Obama observed, ?We didn?t anticipate that the supply line issue was going to be resolved by this summit. We knew that before we arrived in Chicago. But we are actually making diligent progress on it?.
He further stated that they need to work through some of the tensions that have inevitably arisen after one decade of their military presence in the region.
Earlier US media had reported that President Obama was struggling to balance the American ties with two crucial but difficult allies.
Pakistan is not a NATO member but was invited to the summit because of its influence in next-door Afghanistan and its role until last year as the major supply route to landlocked NATO forces there. Pakistan closed those routes after a U.S. attack on the Pakistani side of the border killed 24 Pakistani soldiers in November.
The last-minute invitation from NATO to join the Chicago talks was a sign of hope that the rift had healed. But it hasn&amp;#8217;t. And Obama&amp;#8217;s dealings with Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari made that clear on Monday.

Pakistan is the only country that has paid the biggest price in the so-called war against terror as compared to any other country of the world.
But this contribution and sacrifices of Pakistan are yet to be acknowledged by USA that has given no value to Pakistan so far.
World?s most prominent countries including USA still want Pakistan to do more in the war against terror without even appreciating and rewarding its efforts.
There is no other country in the whole world that has contributed so much in the war against terror as Pakistan has done and still is doing.
But USA always takes an aggressive and negative stance towards Pakistan.
Pakistan?s sovereignty has been violated on more than one occasion but the international community or coalition partners of USA remained quiet which shows their double standards.
Not long ago, the NATO forces attacked on a security check post of Pakistan near Pak-Afghanistan border and killed 24 soldiers.
This horrible incident was a severe attack on the sovereignty of Pakistan through this open violation of international law but the USA showed no sign of remorse over the incident declaring it as an unintentional action.
Apparently, the lives of Pakistanis hold no importance in the eyes of USA and they treat the poor people of Pakistan like animals.
So-called rulers of Pakistan have always been supporting the desires of USA even going against the will of common people in the country.
Rulers have been doing so to gain power and other personal benefits and the general masses are being killed in this war against terror.
The undeniable truth is that people of Pakistan hold no value for USA and are treated like animals. It is a shame for the leaders of Pakistan, who have been causing severe damage to the prestige of their own homeland.
The USA will always keep on spitting that do more and more and in return Pakistanis got nothing but the attack of NATO forces.
Pakistan?s people will remain suffering from the hands of USA until the rulers of the country determine and follow Pakistan?s interest.
Interest of Pakistan should be given paramount importance for the think tanks while compiling any internal or external policy.

<title>First US diplomatic shipment crosses into Afghanistan</title>
            <link>http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/Newspakistanpk/~3/XtXM1uOIgH0/</link>
<description>Following a six-month blockade of NATO supplies, first shipment of four containers of office supplies for American Embassy in Kabul crossed into Afghanistan from Pakistan via Torkham border.
A media report quoting senior official said that Pakistani government had never put bar on the transportation of supplies for the diplomatic missions. He clarified that ban the transportation of NATO supplies is still intact.
According to the media reports the four containers crosses into Afghanistan that was the first shipment after the blockade.
Islamabad blocked land route used for supplies to allied forces battling in Afghanistan in protest against NATO air strike on the Salala check post that killed 24 Pakistani soldiers on November 26, 2011.
The US Embassy in Islamabad was quick to response clarifying that it was nothing to do with the NATO supply-line. The spokesperson claimed that Pakistan had permitted the shipment through and it was carrying office supplies for the Kabul mission.
The containers crossed into Afghanistan as President Asif Ali Zardari left the country to attend a NATO summit in Chicago. Islamabad accepted a last-minute invitation after Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar indicated that they were mulling to resume land route for allied forces.
An official observed, ?I can?t give you the exact number but a lot more will go to Afghanistan in coming days. These all are diplomatic shipments ? I mean non-NATO supplies?.
According to the reports, almost 300 containers of US embassy supplies, including stationery, computers and printers, are understood to have been stranded in Pakistan for the last six months.
An official confirming the information said they had received a list of 300 containers which would cross into Afghanistan in the coming weeks.
He noted, ?I can confirm that three trucks have gone to Afghanistan and there are also reports about the crossing of the fourth one on Friday. The rest of the containers are also likely to pass in the coming days?.
Islamabad said it had directed officials to finalize an agreement as quickly as possible on lifting ban on NATO supplies. However, the two countries are still negotiating rules, fees and logistics for resuming the supplies.

<title>Yousaf Raza Gilani is not Prime Minister; reiterates Nawaz Sharif</title>
            <link>http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/Newspakistanpk/~3/7gBUdreOALc/</link>
<description>PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif reiterated his stance about Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, saying they do not accept him as premier and would not allow the appointment of Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) as per the wishes of the government.
While an interview, the PML-N chief said the incumbent could not bear the opposition?s demand regarding prime minister?s resignation.
Commenting on the appointment of CEC, Nawaz Sharif said that his party would present its stance in front of the parliamentary panel. The government has problem with his visits to Sindh which is why he was being criticized by the PPP leaders, he added.
In his view, the appointment of an impartial CEC is a prerequisite for free and fair elections, adding that all political parties should show concern on the matter.
He clarified that he had not been returned to the country after offering apology to Pervez Musharraf but indeed the former president desired to hold meeting with him in Saudi Arabia.
The PML-N chief asserted, ?Declaring two days off in a week is not the solution to it. The government should tell what concrete measures it has taken to deal with this national problem?.
He rejected money-laundering cases against him, saying it was nothing but vindictive moves of the failed rulers.
Lamenting that the incumbent did not pay heed to parliamentary recommendations and threw them into the dustbin, he Washington was ready to offer an apology over the Salala attack in February but the government asked it to do that at an appropriate time.
In his view, the rulers were happy to attend the Chicago summit but resumption of NATO supplies would be a matter of great disgrace for the entire nation.
He noted, ?I am amazed as well as ashamed at the statements made by the prime minister. He does not know how to talk over a wide range of issues?.
The two-time former prime minister clarified that he had no personal grudge against the premier but they would force the government for the rule of law and implementation of the Supreme Court?s rulings.
Declaring all options including a long march would be utilized against the government, he said the situation was heading towards the politics 90s.

<title>Hussain Haqqani refused to return to Pakistan</title>
            <link>http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/Newspakistanpk/~3/-ITcRA0xUwU/</link>
<description>Former Pakistan?s ambassador to the United States, Hussain Haqqani refused to return home, saying that such a scenario was not possible until the atmosphere cooled for him.
While interviewing to CNN he stated, ?I will not go back to Pakistan for the moment. Purely because there are elements there who have been threatening my life?.
Quoting the killing of former Governor Punjab Salmaan Taseer at the hands of his own guard, he said it was better for him to stay until such time as the ideologically motivational hateful rhetoric against him is ended.
The former envoy pointed out that whatever advantages and benefits Pakistan gains from NATO supplies, it will not last forever, hammering out terms for resuming the supply-line for allied forces battling in Afghanistan.
He observed, ?Pakistanis have to wake up to the fact that whatever advantages they have as the ground line of communication (GLOCs) provider, that advantage is not going to last forever?.
In his view, Pakistan needs to crack down on these extremists for the country?s sake, as more Pakistanis have been killed by them then they have killed foreigners. Pakistan will be haunted by the remnants after withdrawal of the NATO forces from Afghanistan, he added.
Haqqani was of the opinion that key point remained a gap of trust deficit between the two states and a reduced space within Pakistan to openly discuss pragmatic aspects of the troubled bilateral ties.
He asserted, ?We just want to blame our neighbors, our enemies. But we don?t want to take account of what?s wrong at home?.
The former ambassador chose an interesting analogy saying they do not want India to create a kind of presence in Afghanistan that the America would not have tolerated if the Soviets created it in Mexico in the Cold War.
Proposing honesty as the only solution of all the problems, he said Pakistan needs to discuss its relations with the US honestly and openly within its society, instead of allowing a small group of people ideologically motivated and seeking essentially the domination of an Islamist ideology within Pakistan, but unable to get votes.
In his view, nothing comes out of it when domestic politics of the US and Pakistan often come in the form of clash.

<title>President Asif Ali Zardari unlikely to meet President Barack Obama</title>
            <link>http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/Newspakistanpk/~3/EVlD_lFfHWI/</link>
<description>President Asif Ali Zardari is unlikely to meet US President Barack Obama on the sidelines of annual NATO summit in Chicago.
Tom Donilom, the Nation Security Advisor to Barack Obama said the Pakistani president will attend the Chicago summit, with a final deal apparently close on reopening crucial NATO supplies.
In the meantime, Pakistan?s Foreign Office has also confirmed that President Zardari will duly represent Pakistan in the Chicago summit. However, no plan has been announced up till now for a one-on-one meeting between President Obama and President Zardari.
The two leaders met lastly in Seoul in March to attempt to mend an anti-terror alliance almost fractured in November by the assassination of 24 Pakistan troops in NATO air attack.
Contrary to Pakistan, President Obama will hold a meeting with Afghan counterpart Hamid Karzai on sidelines of the Chicago summit. The annual moot has been launched to mark a critical milestone in ending the war.
The US president met the Afghan president a couple of weeks ago in Kabul when they signed an agreement cementing 10 years of US aid for Afghanistan after withdrawal of allied forced in 2014.
Under the deal, the American forces will stay behind to train Afghan forces and pursue the remnants of Al-Qaeda until 2024.
The National Security Advisor said the Afghan war would be discussed in detailed sittings at the two-day moot, where leaders of over 61 countries will participate.
He said, ?NATO will formally decide to begin shifting its mission next year, so that lead responsibility for combat would rest on newly trained Afghan forces and foreign troops would be in train and advise mode?.
The meeting will also seek consensus on the structure and financing of the $4 billion annual cost of Afghan forces after the withdrawal of foreign troops.
He added, ?Progress on securing offers from US partners to ensure the full cost does not fall on the United States, noting pledges of $110 million, $100 million and $195 million a year from Britain, Australia and Germany?.
Donilom informed that leaders in Chicago would also discuss their presence in Afghanistan after 2014 and the shape of a small NATO forces expected to remain to offer training and advice for Afghan forces.

<description>President Zardari to attend Chicago summit; confirms foreign office
Islamabad: (Thursday, May 17, 2012) President Asif Ali Zardari will represent Pakistan in the Chicago Summit organized by NATO, confirmed Pakistan foreign office today. The summit, which is to commence later this month, will mull
over future of Afghanistan post NATO withdrawal.
According to the foreign ministry, Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar would also accompany Zardari to Chicago.
The cabinet meeting yesterday welcomed the last-minute NATO invitation to the president, clearing the way for Pakistan to mark its presence in the event after Islamabad boycotted the last major talks on Afghanistan in Bonn last
December over US air strikes that rendered over 24 Pakistani soldiers martyred.
After marking its presence in the Chicago summit, Islamabad expects to ease its international isolation and boost its leverage on Afghanistan?s future as Western countries plan to pull out of the country by 2014.
In return to the invitation to Chicago summit, Pakistan is expected to lift a six-month blockade on NATO supplies. According to the news, the opening is currently in process as negations with the US over logistics and fees are
 still going on.
Yesterday, the government ordered the officials engaged in the negotiations process with the US to finalize an agreement as quickly as possible, so that thousands of trucks and oil tankers could head towards the land-locked Afghanistan
 from Karachi.
Sources that have access to the inside information claim that the transit fees for the vehicles are the main sticking point and the border will probably reopen by early next week.
