Nu til problemet eller spørgsmålet Til jer som har en xperia S, er der nogen som har det meget omtalte yellow tint på skærmen. Det kommer frem, når mobilen bliver varm og skulle vist forsvinde igen når den køler ned igen. Det er meget debatteret ovre på xda, kan ikke finde noget om det herinde. Hvis nogle af jer har det? Launched at the Mobile World Congress, Barcelona in February, the phone was touted as a mid-ranged handset to cater to the more moderate market segment. As the above statement suggests, the new Xperia P comes right in the middle of Sony?s premium Android phones, Xperia S and Xperia U. It is equipped with Android Gingerbread 2.3 and has a dual-core processor. The screen however, is a plus with vivid LED display. It is HSPA+ enabled and works on the so-called 4G HSDPA Advance wireless networks. In Asia it has been launched in Singapore, Japan, China and India. In the US, so far only unlocked version has been released at $500; as of yet no carrier has included it in their line of handsets. Design The new Xperia P is not so big and not so thin, it just is perfect for an average person who is not so tech-savvy and wants to play with a touch screen. It sports a 4-inch LED backlit qHD screen with a reasonable 960×540-pixel resolution. At 0.41 inches it is thicker than most of its competition but even at this breadth and width, which is more than that of iPhone, it is easily operable in a single hand. The brushed metal surface gives a firm grip to the user while holding it. The back side is a little curved like other Xperia phones, giving a visible hint of Sony?s NXT design. Located above the micro-SIM card slot on the left side are the Micro-USB and Micro-HDMI ports. The speakers are fixed at an awkward place, on the right edge of the phone. However, the sound quality has not been sacrificed rather is better than others in the market. Software and Features The biggest shortfall in the new Xperia P is the operating system which is not the latest version of Google? mobile OS, Ice Cream Sandwich. Though the company has stated that the ICS update is on its way, it has equipped the phone with custom features in the Gingerbread like instant shots on lock screen and folder creation by dragging icons on the top of each other. HSPA, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi are the standard issue, and the device comes in only one version with 16 GB storage capacity. As it lacks micro-SD card slot, it is left with only 13 GB of total space for the user to utilize. There is not shutter lag in taking instant photos and shooting from the lock screen is even quicker by pressing and holding the shutter button. In the bright sunlight it takes greater detailed photos but the camera lacks in colours. The inside photos are even more impressive with flash. It takes more crisp photos than the Xperia U but cannot match the quality of flagship Xperia S. The wireless quality is better than most of the handsets in the market. Websites download quickly over both HSPA+ and WiFi closed networks. However, the signal strength decreases quickly when the phone is held tightly in the hand. Moreover, the internet speeds decrease to snail?s pace in the same situation. The 1500 mAh battery is not the best tech in the market but given the dual-core processor, the source takes the phone comfortably through the day with a normal use including calls, video and audio playback, internet with live notifications on Facebook, Twitter and email apps. The call quality might not be called the stunning in the current market but is good for a handset in mid-price range. Additionally, the speaker phone also gives a clear voice. However, beware of holding it tightly in the hand. Conclusion The new Xperia P resides right in the middle of high-end premium phones and below average handsets. It has a normal dual-core processor to run just smoothly the Gingerbread operating system and boasts an 8-mega pixel camera for better photo shoots. It is not very thin but not very thick at the same time and very handy to carry around. However, if someone is looking for a better Android handset that makes a stronger statement, Xperia P is not option to go for. Well, Sony joined the bandwagon only recently when they launched with the Sony Xperia S, that did decent business and the company seems to attribute the success of the handset to the dual core processor and thus, they have come out with another handset that is equipped with the dual core processor. They have christened this handset Sony Xperia U. The handset is not available in the shops yet, but you have the option of pre-ordering it from the very many online retail outlets that are present in cyberspace. The Sony Experia U has been priced at R.16,499 on these sites which seems rather nominal for a smartphone with a dual core processor. The handset was showcased at the MWC 2012 and it managed to garner some interest of the people who attended the event. It was not the only handset to be showcased by Sony as it was accompanied by the Sony Xperia P, which is also a smartphone. The handset looks quite attractive and the design of the handset is very different from the handsets that are currently available. The handset has the candybar form factor and it is available in a combination of  black and yellow or black and pink. Black is the parent colour that has been used and there is a band of yellow or pink at the end of the handset. Another very outstanding feature of the external appearance of the handset is that there is the ambient illumination of the transparent element design. This makes the phone have a chameleon like characteristic, which means that it changes colour.  Also, the colour of the user interface and the art on the display change each time the illumination of the screen changes and this is something that no other phone has has till now. Features and Specification of the Sony Experia U The handset has a NovaThor 1GHz dual core processor and it has a 3.5 inch Reality display that has a native resolution of 480 by 854 pixels. The handset is based on the Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system. Apart from this there is 512MB RAM present and the handset has an internal storage capacity of 8GB that seems to be good enough. The downside regarding the memory of the handset is that there is no expandable memory feature as no microSD card slot has been provided. The Sony Experia U has a 5MP rear facing shooter that has many support features and it is capable of 720p HD video recording, this one feature of the handset is what is most attractive. Also, there is a VGA front facing, secondary camera that will enable the caller to make video calls. The companies have made the xLOUD surround sound technology integration and thus, the sound quality of the speakers is impeccable. They are perfect for listen to music as well as for speaking on the phone. Coming to the connectivity options that have been incorported in this handset, there is the A-GPS connectivity that will never let you get lost. Apart from that there is the WiFi with DLNA and hotspot connectivity and a microUSB 2.0 port has been provided as well. This handset has a rather impressive battery integration for itself. There is a 1320 mAh battery that provides a lot of juice to the handset and it is able to support the handset for up to 260 hours in stanby mode, for 6 hours and 36 minutes in talktime mode and it also enables 45 hours of music play that is clearly incredible. Being a smarthphone, the battery does not last long and charging at regular intervals is a must, but this does not seem to be the case with this smartphone. On the whole the handset seems to be a powerhouse of features and when seen in the light of the features that it packs the Sony Xperia U seems to charged reasonably.  What still needs to be seen is, whether the handset will actually live up to its expectations or will it just prove to be another mediocre handset that has been released without putting in much thought about its fate. this seems unlikely, but nothing can be said till we have the device in our hands. The fact that Sony Xperia U is available for pre-order at Rs.16499 is good news in more ways than one as it was expected to be priced much higher that it presently is.
