How to make my inner princess happy :)
Yesterday was one of the most amazing days in a long time…I stopped and let myself breathe..and eat. WARNING GUYS…this could be the perfect date recipe hahaha!! Woke up next to a lovely person who straight away served me coffee – one of the ways to my heart …not really that straight away, but it sounded good!! Ask the What if Question?
Innovation starts when people ask the What if Question? Today I attend a great lecture in connection with the 10 year anniversary for the Sunshine Coast Innovation Centre. Day 415 ? 442: A Place to Call Home
When I first arrived in Alice Springs I had planned to stay for 3 months. But, with several jobs at hand, a free house to stay in, a bank account that looked healthier by the day, and good friends around, I thought it wouldn’t much much sense to leave. .flickr-photo { border: solid 2px #000000; } .flickr-yourcomment { } .flickr-frame { text-align: left; padding: 3px; } .flickr-caption { fon

The grass is greener in Perth, a water-scarce city adjusting to climate change
The capital of Western Australia, Perth, is at the epicenter of global climate change. The city?s strategic response offers lessons about climate change mitigation, exacerbation and adaptation. The lessons are acutely relevant to the United States, particularly California. The grass is greener and there?s lots of it in Perth, as residents who once called Great Britain home recreated lush la

How to Avoid Email Blacklists for Small Businesses
The bane of any email marketing campaign is becoming part of an email blacklist. Being blacklisted means that your emails get blocked and, as a result, can no longer reach some or all of your target recipients. To make matters worse, getting out of blacklists is typically quite a messy ordeal. That?s why blacklist prevention is the better option according to most email marketing and business datab

Plans for world?s largest coal port in the Great Barrier Reef delayed
Less than two weeks ago we launched the beginning of a vital new campaign ? to protect the Great Barrier Reef and our climate from the reckless expansion of the coal export industry. This will be the biggest environmental campaign Australia has ever seen and it has got off to a cracking start. From front page stories and commentary from the nation?s power-holders, to a huge public outcry ?

Day 411 ? 414: Raindrops over Uluru
It felt like I had just arrived in Alice Springs, but when I one day checked the calendar I realized I had been in town for 3 months. Time passes fast when you are working hard. After 3 months without leaving the city limits it was time to go explore the surroundings. Together with Kay from Hong Kong and Josh from Colorado we had planned a road trip to Uluru some 500 km south (around the corner in

Day 303 ? 411: Work work work?
Due to a fortunate combination of a strong Australian Dollar, low taxes and a lot of work available, Australia in general and Alice Springs in particular turned out to be a great place to recharge the very empty bank account. At some point I was working so many hours that by the end of the day my legs would feel considerably more tired from standing up than after 150 km of cycling. .flickr-photo

Day 288 ? 302: Laramba Aboriginal Community
One way to find a job in Alice Springs is to walk around to the different hostels and have a look at their job boards. A couple of days after I arrived in town I did just that, and saw an interesting posting about a job in an aboriginal community. After a quick call to John, the manager of a shop in the community, I had the job. The next day I met up with Valerie from Canada who would also be work
